PHP is a great language and I have no complaints about MySQL, but ASP/ASP.net and MS SQL are not a bad alternative. C# gives full object support, which PHP doesn't do well. ASP.net also has slightly better performance than PHP.
One really isn't "Better" than the other though. They both have some things that they can do better than the other and some things that they do worse than the other.
