Re: mysql_config --cflags giving the -g parameter

I've already tried removing that parameter and it gives me linking errors if I do it.

I know I can strip my binary file but I'm not convinced I get the same performance as if it was compiled without using -g. I'm saying this because a similar production server is running it without the -g flag and runs 5% faster on average.

Plus, wouldn't the script returning -g implies that it's linking to code using debug symbols if it needs it?
