Well, at least I know what to do...

A small comment on the innodb_buffer_pool_size:
It didn´t seem to have any connection to the virtual memory, which i guessed because I got a message saying VirtualAlloc...failed. I increased the virutal memory, but still couldn´t set innodb_buffer_pool_size as large as I wanted (2G).

I succeeded to set it to 1141M, not more. But the gain wasn´t measurable, and when I set it back to 256M the execution time didn´t increase.(which probably depends on the DOM/SAX issue being the cause of my problems).

This comment doesn´t need an answer, just telling it because Rick James hadn´t come across the problem before.
