You mean, you loaded the csv succesfull, but when you select from the table where you loaded into, you get semicolons in field values?

I have never had this problem before. You could try if the mysqlimport utiliy gives the same problem, or you could send me a zip with both the excel file and the csv file and send it to my hotmail adress:
R [underscore] P [underscore] Bouman [at] hotmail [dot] com
And i could give it a go. Most probably it has somthing to do with the specific options you chose when savin as csv
