i need to match a range of values for a field which is part of the whole string for the field.

e.g.:

dataname="a1-2-30";

for this i need to match the field starting from 30 to 45;

i tried:

select * from tabel1 where dataname = 'a1-2-'. regexp '[30-45]';

but its not working, errocode given is 1064.

please let me know if this is correct or solution.

thanks in advance.
