Link between MySQL and Oracle

Hi there, I'm quite new to this.

I'm planning to have a link from an oracle db to an mysql db. The thing though is that the oracle db is on a db server while the mysql is on a web server. I need to copy on a daily/weekly basis an amount of fields to a defiend table, in the mysql db.

Now the tricky part is the fields i want to pull out comes from different tables in the oracle db. To make things easier to understand. I'm trying to pull out information off a student registration database (oracle) and put it in a student search database online (mysql). And for security reasons, there shouldn't be a physical link between the two databases.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
