Installation of MySQL on win98

I tried to install mysql en my win98 server pc, I can acces that pc thourgh RealVNC remote control. Installation went ok then I did the configuration wizzard. After that I tried to start mysql 4.1 trough the start menu (command line shortcut) but then I get this:
Enter password:..
I have no idea what the password is and I can't find it:S. The Manual goes on about difficult dos command where all I need is the password (at least for now). Who can help me?
