how do you fix error 2002
I used synaptic to install mysql 5.1
When I go to the terminal and do mysql start, it says "cannot connect to local MYSQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
I have no idea why this is. I tried to find the file mysqld.sock but was unable to find it. That might be the problem I guess, but if it is I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone has a solution please let me know.
