ok. i think i wasn't clear enough:

i have a table containing 3 columns. lem1, lem2 and smc. lem1 and lem2 are text fields containing words. smc contains a number value (like 0.99988463).

what i need is 10 rows with the ten highest values from smc.

with MAX(smc) i can get only one row (the one with the highest smc), but i need the 10 highest rows.

hope i was clearer (excuse: my english is not soo good)
