Thanks for the response.

What I mean is all those fields are displayed as gibberish (unreadable symbols).

Those utf8 fields show up on the website fine. However, the website is created by other people, not me. As far as I know, the site is based on Zend framework.

I only used MySQL Workbench's SQL Editor to query the database and haven't tried phpMyAdmin yet. I also have some VBA code in Excel using QueryTable to draw data from remote database. Finally, I tried to use some C# code to examine/convert those fields.

Nothing seems working so far.
