convert_tz giving null even after updating time zone files

I am using MySQL Server 5.5 on Windows 7.
I have copied the 15 timezone tables into the mysql directory of data directory, obtained by downloading from the MySQL website link for 'POSIX standard Time zone description tables, version 2010'.

But still, there is no result (count = 0) on querying these tables:
select * from mysql.time_zone_transition_type;
select * from mysql.time_zone_transition;
select * from mysql.time_zone_name;
select * from mysql.time_zone_leap_second;
select * from mysql.time_zone;

convert_tz is also, naturally, returning null with named timezones.

I have tried re-starting and copying again, but yet no change.

MySql Server's timezone is set to system.
The Windows system timezone currently is UTC+05:30

Thx in advance!
