Mysql ADDTIME can it do this ? Daylight savings time issue

SELECT ADDTIME(lastupdated, '0 10:30:0.000000') from work_table

I use the above mysql sql statement to get the lastupdated time in my country's time zone i.e 10 and 1/2 hours time difference

Now the problem occurs when DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME is enforced. I need to add 11 and 1/2 hours now.

Is there anyway Mysql can do this automatically ? CAN MYSQL compute Daylight savings time ? If so how do I go about it ?

Thanks and Regards

Shantih
