weird. I see in the documentation that you cannot actually use NOW() as a default value.

Really I was happy with using TIMESTAMP but I could not partition my table using this.

As I remember I cannot use function calls in a TRIGGER? Luckily I am filling this table using an event so I suppose I can just add the NOW() in my EVENT?

Would this be a correct approach?
