Re: Problem with LOAD_FILE

It is even worse - on my machine (Ubuntu 12.04, MySQL 5.5.24), i can read the file /etc/passwd with LOAD_FILE, but no other file. Even if I copy as root passwd to passwd1 and issue select LOAD_FILE('/etc/passwd1'), it sends NULL, but if I issue LOAD_FILE('/etc/passwd') I get the contents of the password file. Can this be a back door for Hackers???

Any hints how to solve this?

Kind regards
