Re: Is STR_TO_DATE function doesn't work with UCS2 charset?

Thanks Peter for the quick responce.

But my concerns are:

The client which am I using is running on utf8 charset. Other string functions are working fine like length(), char_length(), concat() etc, on it.

If the issue is client/utility/tool specific, then the issue needs to be there for other srting functions right?

My query is, does the function STR_TO_DATE is incompatible with ucs2 charset? Did documentation missed this information?

Do I need to consider, the functions which are not mentioned as multi-byte-safe are incompatible with multi-byte?

Kindly help.
