?! Explain Extended does not fix the problem. Cosider reading the manual page about the Explain tool.
It puts out info on how the query engine proposes to execute the query.
From that, and from the table definitions, we can infer how the query may need to be restructured, how indexes may need to be changed, &c, in order to improve query performance.
