Re: Migrating mysql databases into new server
Quote
LUNS would be copied from one storage to another ... a new linux installation and new mysql installation ... what are the steps I need to follow in order to bring the databases up and running in target?
There
are none.
As has been said
before ...
You cannot reliably move a MySQL database by duplicating file systems.
The
only reliable way, that is
guaranteed to work, is to use
mysqldump to unload the source databases and
mysql to load them into the new installation.
Anything else has the potential to fail in "weird and wonderful" ways that are simply not work getting into.
