Yes I realized that, so I am going to use Mysql Workbench to convert the MSsql database, and eventually I want to have the older records be in a back up database tied to the main one with only new, active orders in the main database. It'll take a while, but I understand that. I was mostly wondering if it would work, but I saw a post here about a master/slave database link, and aside from the "read only" aspect, that is what I essentially want to be able to do.
