The tables differ as they were meant for different things. Also hostname is not a primary key in neither. It's just a field that happens to be in both tables. So basically it's 2 different tables where some fields are for the same purpose eg. patches_installed, excel_installed... In the external table the fields are filled with T/F or N/A and that's what I need to place in some fields of the DAL.
