Redis vs. Memcached for a large WordPress db running on mysql 5.7

Dear community,

Can anyone please suggest which one of db caching mechanisms to chose from - memcached or redis? For a WordPress website with growing db size (a lot of new posts daily) - running on mysql 5.7 Community edition. We already optimized the db but there is a real need for additional caching solution.

Which one would you go for?
