And get better hosting! Ask about MySQL params before you sign up. StableHost and Jetfire Networks are very good and inexpensive.

The forum design is, um, primitive. No sign it will be improved. I suppose the rule of thumb for when to start a new thread would be when the current discussion no longer needs to refer to messages that would be in the older thread.
