Re: Can't connect to MySQL server remotely
I tried some things to make it work. It's still not working yet, but there is progress... i think :D
It seems to me that my ISP is blocking the port 3306, but i know for sure that it's possible to open the 23 so i changed the MySQL server port to 23 and tried to use Telnet on the public ip on port 23. No more "No connexion", this time it's asking for a login and a password (which i don't know) but i think it means the connexion can be established through the public ip.
Now, the problem is when i try to login using mysql to the server, i get the error: "lost connection to mysql server at 'reading initial communication packet' system error 0" and i obviously can't connect.
Is there something i can do to make it work?
