MySQL Shell command error

Hi,
I am trying to run a simple script file from MYSQL Shell but it keeps giving me a fail to open file error. I have something like:
mysql-sql> \. u:\t.sql;
My file is named t.sql and stored in my U drive. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
