Where to start advice.

HI all,

Been a member for a while but i have not really got to grips with MySql. I have never created a database of my own and really only asked very basic questions on how to connect to the database using php etc.

What I really want to do is create a database so that I can keep scores of a home based poker game I have. There is probably about 10 players altogether but not all play each week.

What I want to do is keep a track of who played, where they finished and whether they paid into a side pot.

Every 12 weeks we tot up the points earned and we have a play off game for whatever money is in the side pot.

My question is what tables do i need to make it work.

I know i cant do it in 1 table which is what i thought at first but am unsure of what i need.

If i know this then i could set about learning how to build it myself.

Hope this makes sense and someone could help me out.

Many Thanks
