New data entered in table
I am a new MYSQL user that is coming in from Access. Ultimately what I am looking for is a way to emulate the events that access has. Example when a new kind of organism is entered into a field in Access an "event" occurs where I can have a form pop up where the new data in transfered over and the user is able to add additional information and then the form closes and the data entry goes merrily on. I don't know how to replicate this in MYSQL or is this something that is done on the front end level and if so how does the front end know that a new piece of data is attempting to be added.
I hope this is clear
