Why is mysql hoarding so much RAM?
htop reports that the mysql processes are utilizing 64.8% of the server’s memory, which is 8GB. It seems excessive given how little it’s being utilized (simple wordpress database and a relatively unused other database (not terribly large).
Further, why does it hover at this amount? It’s not as if there are continual queries being run all the time. It’s lightly used.
MySQL also occasionally quits with no warning. Could it be running out of memory?
