MySQL not storing foreign characters correctly
MySQL, instead of 'ට' (Localization) I get ???. The column is LONGTEXT or sometimes VARCHAR(255)
Windows 10
MySQL Community Server 5.7.37
.NET 2019
Workbench 8.00
ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb4
I can directly write international characters into tables either using phpmyadmin or workbench. Then it works well. Should I set individual column CHARSET? I have 2 developer machines. almost same configuration except MySQL version 5.7.32. One PC system works well. This problem is persisting on 1 developer machine which is running MySQL Community Server 5.7.37. Does this version really matters? any clue would be highly appreciated.
