Re: Any Impact of Oracle Restructuring on MySQL?

[Herrick Peterson]

It is probably too early to draw conclusions about the long-term impact on MySQL based only on restructuring news.

For businesses running MySQL in production, I think the practical approach is to continue monitoring official MySQL release and support activity rather than making an immediate migration decision. It is also reasonable to keep an eye on alternatives and understand what a future migration would involve, especially for larger environments.

The MySQL community, ecosystem, and existing tooling are also important factors to consider alongside Oracle's own development and support efforts.
