Connecting to remote server

Hi,
I'm hoping this is a simple question. But I've installed MySQL Administrator on my WinXP system, and I'm trying to administer a remote database that runs our company website. But when I double click the server name to connect, I get Error 1130 (not allowed to connect). I'm on comcast cable internet.
Any ideas? I'm totally dead in the water till this gets resolved.
