Thank you very very much David, finally it worked. What I did is
1.I installed MySQL GUI Tools(which can be downloaded for free from mysql website)
2.Opened the MySQL Administrator -> Created new Connection with "localhost" as hostname, and "root" as user , without any passwords AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY so far.
