Documentation (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/create-view.html) tells there are 2 ALGORITHMs wich can be possibly used with a VIEW: TEMPTABLE and MERGE. Doc does not say anything about these (or I can't find any other information). I guess that TEMPTABLE internally creates a temporary table containing VIEW's data and MERGE internally uses a MERGE basetable.

Still, that does not say us very much: when should we prefer TEMPTABLE and when should we prefer MERGE? Can MERGE be used for a VIEW wich does not use only MyISAM tables? What happens if we use "ALGORITHM=UNDEFINED" or we omit that clause?
