Strange character set problem.. weird codes!

Hi all,

We recently converted our database from Access to MYSQL.

I am not sure as to what has happened, but it seems that there are some real character set issues with the data. I am unsure as to whether this happened when the database was converted, or after?
If I view the data through an access screen linked to the database the erronous codes are shown though as well as on the actual web pages... An example is...

"Onkyoā€™s HTC-V10Xā€”a digitally smart home theater system for private living spacesā€”deserves your attention."

For example here I think the first weird code (ā€™) was originally a ' character...

Has anyone ever come across a problem like this before, or can anyone see what it may be? This is the first MYSQL database I've ever done and converting from access was problem enough! This has got me baffled!
The encoding acording to the admin tool is UTF-8 and that is what i have set the asp pages to be as well...

Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Rob Young,
