Hi, I have the exact same problem in a spanish site, but managed to correct it a little, but its still a problem

everything is UTF-8, html code and mysql

Characters show ok on the site, but diferent on the database

for example "á" does show as "á" in HTML but it shows as "á" in mysql query browser

if I input "á" with a html form the data stores incorrectly on mysql, but shows up correctly on html

if I input "á" directly on mysql query browser, it shows up as <?> sign on firefox or a square on IE

anyone know what is going on?
