Hi,

This only change the default character set and collation of the table and doesn't affect existing data. To change the the character set and collation of the existing data, you need to execute the statement like below.

ALTER `table_name` CONVERTO TO CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_german1_ci
