Thank you for your time.

My code works with zero issues when working with MySQL 5.7.39 and ODBC 8.0.30. It behaves in that bizarre way when dealing with MySQL 8.0.30.

I stopped using MySQL 8.0.30 for now due to this 'aberration'.

I also reckon it may be a charset/collation issue because VFP, as far as I know, it not equipped to do 'beyond real utf8'. Maybe it is due to the bytes involved?
