Collations and REGEXP

Hi there,

Iam using the following regexpession: [[:<:]]test[[:>:]] and the utf8_unicode_ci collation. Unfortunately the collation is ignored or REGEXP doesnt work with collations. Using LIKE %test% and the utf8_unicode_ci collation does work. But i want to do a search for a word, so i dont want results like "testing".

Is there a way to use the REGEXP with a collation, or a way to use LIKE like a [[:<:]][[:>:]] REGEXP?
