Accent insensitive?
Hi.
I've been searching for a way to how to have accent insensitiveness even with UTF-8 and read somewhere that 'utf8_general_ci' collation is accent insensitive. So, I inserted entries with some Portuguese words like 'pão', 'japonês', 'não', 'amêndoas', 'américa' and 'dívidas' encoded in UTF-8, then tried to query it for them (e.g.: %japones%), but it won't return any results.
Any ideas?
OS: Windows XP
MySQL version: 5.0.21
Collation: utf8_general_ci
(Sorry for my poor English)
