Hi,

I just uploaded the next alpha release of the Migration Toolkit, 1.0.3. Until the mirrors catch up, you can download it directly from

ftp://ftp.mysql.com/pub/mysql/download/mysql-migration-toolkit-1.0.3-alpha-win32.msi

Changelog:

* Improved Java detection
- now find all JRE 1.4.2 installations
- also works with JRE 5.0
* Improved JDBC Driver management
- Connections can now be stored permanently

I hope this fixes all problems that you have listed. If not, please post again.
