Migrating to 4.1.20 to Lastest version of mysql

Hi,


I would like to ask on how to migrate a mysql database 4.1.20 to latest release of mysql. Is it safe to do a mysql dump aside from the migration toolkit. Are there any issues/bugs when migrating to 4.1.20 to latest version.
