We would like to help you complete your migration from ProgressDB. Let us know when you get a better ProgressDB JDBC driver.

Based on your findings, we would be happy to get your help/advice in adding ProgressDB as a "optimized migration" to the MySQL Migration Toolkit.

Here is a 2002 paper on the Progress JDBC Driver by DataDirect:

DataDirect does not seem to have a Progress JDBC Driver that supports recent JDBC specifications:

PS: The MySQL Migration Toolkit does not use Hibernate. However, you may get some insight into the Progress JDBC Driver based on what Hibernate had to do to support it:
