I am getting the same connection errors. I am able to connect to the source database (an MSSQL 2000 db), but am having problems connecting to the MYSQL db. I get the following errors:

The connection to the target database could not be established (error: 0).
org/aspectj/lang/Signature
Details:
java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source)

The previous post recommended that I try out the connection string manually. I paste the recommended code in the Advanced tab but still get the same errors. :(
