Unable to load MySQL Migration Toolkit

Hello,
I am running a Windows XP Home PC and have successfully installed MySQL 5 with a subsequent working database connection. I have also installed the latest Java Runtime Environment – version 1.4.3. However, when I attempt to run the Migration Toolkit after installation I get the following error message:
“file .\source\myx_grt_struct.c: line 369: assertion ‘gstruct !=NULL ’ failed”
Can anybody help me with this error? I simply cannot start the Migration Toolkit because of it.
