Aha!! I found that you have to edit the run_migration script to point to your installed jre. Did that and then it ran but then provided the following error info:

An irrecoverable stack overflow has occurred.
#
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
#
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x08066a75, pid=16042, tid=3077666496
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (1.4.2_09-b05 mixed mode)
# Problematic frame:
# C [grtsh+0x1ea75]
#
# An error report file with more information is saved as hs_err_pid16042.log

./run_migration: line 13: 16042 Aborted ./grtsh -x scripts/TextMigrationScript.lua

I am submitting a bug report.....
