Ignoring Hidden snapshot folder on NetApp in 8.0.x
Hello,
I have the grand task of migrating several old MySQL servers from 5.7 to 8.0.x
The current OS is CentOS 7.9. New OS will be either Rocky Linux 8 or 9, as I taking small steps.
I have searched online for a solution to my issue, I cannot find one.
The databases are several TB in size and reside on a NetApp.
NetApps have a hidden .snapshot folder for hourly backups.
I have removed 5.7 and installed 8.0.11.
The mysqld service goes into the .snapshot folders and throws error messages:
InnoDB: Tablespace ID: 999999999 = ['.snapshot ....]
InnoDB: Plugin initialization aborted with error Failed, retry may succeed.
I did not have this issue with 5.7 and I didn't use the ignore-hidden-folder command either
Does 8.0.x have a solution for keeping out of hidden folders?
Thank you.
