LOAD SHARING USING FEDERATED ENGINE

I have two servers, suppose s1 and s2.
In s1 all my tables are stored except one that is stored in s2.
I want to procedure, which retrieves data from tables of both server and after processing inserting into table of s2.
what i have done, one federated table same replica of that is in s2 created by giving the path of s2.
i just want to know, if i m using federated table or selecting or inserting in federated table, where load applied, on s1 or s2 because the reason for dividing the sever into s1 and s2 is to share the load between severs.

OR is there any more option to work with two severs simultaneously.
