derog | FEDERATED | 10 | Fixed | 10000 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | NULL | NULL | NULL | NULL | latin1_swedish_ci | NULL | | mysql://user1@192.168.3.208:3306/derog/derog |

Ok, so you create a table 'derog', which is federated, pointing to the table derog on database derog, on host 192.168.3.208. What host and database is the federated table being created on? What is your value for max_allowed_packet? Also, you show the actual files for derog (the MYD files) - what host are those files on vs. the host that gave you '0' for 'select count(*) from' ?

Thanks for finding a possible issue!

kind regards, Patrick
