Hi,

I solved this problem.
For this we need to add federated in one of the mysql configuration files.

First we have to stop mysql server then go to where u installed mysql (C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.4) and open file "my.configuration settings". In that Server Section settings, after [mysqld] add federated and save.
then start the mysql. then federated storage engine option will be enabled.
