I didn't see any active bugs for this type of data issue, outside of this one:

But that's specific to list partitions.

One thing is that tempmessages.pid is a bigint(20), and subscribers.id is an int(10). I wouldn't think that would be related, but it's probably not best.

Have you tried the query with

and responder id between 6 and 8 ? (if you get the expected results).

It seems to me this could be some kind of bug...

If you can test with the same data, I would alter the table and change your partition ranges, and see if you get the same results.

I assume it works fine when the table is not partitioned?
