Partitioning - Open Bugs - Ready for production use?

Hi,

can you tell me something about the current state of the partitioning functions of mysql 5.1?
I have seen a lot of open bugs related to partitioning causing data corruption, ... .

Should I currently really use partitioning in a production environment?

EDIT - Some information on my environment:
- using PARTITION BY RANGE
- seven partitions (for each day of a week one partition)
- one new partition is created every day
- one partition gets dropped per day
(data older than seven days gets deleted by dropping (old) paritions)

Regards,
Andreas
