Spot the deliberate mistake - :)

'I was proposing simply to shut down the MySQL server maybe once a year and to copy the relevant .MYD, frm, MYI and .par files to another disk and delete the files I had copied.'

- Of course I would only delete the .MYD files that had been copied from the MySQL data directory.
